On June 8 the Palm Beach County Food Bank kicked off their annual Canstruction event! Canstruction is a charity art exhibition and event that features sculptures made entirely of nonperishable food items. At the end of the event all of the food items used in the construction of the sculptures is donated to the Palm Beach County Food Bank.
The Florida Sugar Cane League was proud to sponsor the AIAS Architecture Palm Beach State College (PBSC) Canstruction Team this year. Team PBSC constructed an amazing sculpture of an Florida Alligator around Sugar Canes. The sculpture was constructed with cans of food, bags of rice, water bottles and some sweet snacks.
