Hoffman’s Winter Wonderland

This year the Florida Sugar Cane League teamed up with Hoffman’s Chocolates to sponsor the 27th Annual Winter Wonderland! The Winter Wonderland features more than 125,000 LED Lights, holiday displays, Christmas tree, and much more.

The FSCL team was happy to be at the Winter Wonderland with our delicious Chocolate Sugar Cookies, featuring Florida Sugar Cane Sugar! So many happy faces stopped by to taste our cookies before saying hello to Santa.

Deck the Palms, VIP Night

The Florida Sugar Cane League was proud to bring amazing Fresh from Palm Beach County food to the Junior League of the Palm Beaches’ Deck the Palms VIP Night. We featured rice, mangoes, and sugar in several amazing bites for all to enjoy!

Abacoa Food and Wine Festival

The Sugar Cane League was happy to sponsor and be a part of the Abacoa Food and Wine Festival. We were excited to showcase our amazing rice, mango, and sugar crops. With the assistance of Joshua Catering the Sugar Cane League was happy to provide Jupiter residents with some delicious snacks to go with all of the great beverage pairings.

Palm Beach County TeacherFest

The FSCL team met with teachers at the annual TeacherFest to discuss all of the innovations in Agriculture. All the STEM teachers also stopped by our booth to learn about the League’s programs and to get a bag of rice and sugar!

Canstruction 2017

On June 8 the Palm Beach County Food Bank kicked off their annual Canstruction event! Canstruction is a charity art exhibition and event that features sculptures made entirely of nonperishable food items. At the end of the event all of the food items used in the construction of the sculptures is donated to the Palm Beach County Food Bank.

The Florida Sugar Cane League was proud to sponsor the AIAS Architecture Palm Beach State College (PBSC) Canstruction Team this year. Team PBSC constructed an amazing sculpture of an Florida Alligator around Sugar Canes. The sculpture was constructed with cans of food, bags of rice, water bottles and some sweet snacks.

Young Singers of the Palm Beaches: Choir in the Glades & BellaVoce!

The Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, held their Spring Jam on Thursday May 16 and the Florida Sugar Cane League was delighted to be in attendance.

This years Spring Jam showcased the Choir in the Glades and  BellaVoce at Lake Shore Middle School.

The Choir in the Glades is a tuition free Choir program  for third, fourth, and fifth graders in Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay. The staff at Choir in the Glades hope to provide quality choral instruction and enrichment in this special after school program.

Live Like Jake 5K

The Florida Sugar Cane League was happy to sponsor the Live Like Jake Foundation 5K. The Live Like Jake Foundation raises awareness for drowning prevention after a tragic accident rocked the founders family in 2013.

Runners enjoyed some Fresh from Florida Orange Juice after the 3.1 mile run through Ababoca!

Kids in the Kitchen

On April 22, the Florida Sugar Cane League teamed up with the Junior League of the Palm Beaches for Kids in the Kitchen. Kids in the Kitchen was day full of fun and health activities for kids and parents!

The Florida Sugar Cane League brought corn, green peppers, squash, zucchini, and green beans for the children and parents to take home. Over 200 families had some fresh local vegetables to cook with their dinner that night.

Jupiter Christian School Tour

On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, the Jupiter Christian School joined us on the Raisin’ Cane Harvest Tour. The kids got to see an up close and personal look at the daily operations of our farms. They greatly enjoyed seeing a sugar cane burn and harvest!
